In 1939 Los Angeles, private detective Philip Marlowe (Liam Neeson) is hired by wealthy and glamourous Clare Cavendish to find her missing lover, Nico, a prop master at Pacific Film Studios. Marlowe soon discovers that Nico is dead after apparently falling down drunk and being run over by a car. Marlowe, however, is skeptical of the circumstances surrounding Nico's death and begins to investigate further. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and corruption among the city's elite. |
