Speaker Bio

"Managing and Sustaining Wildlife in an HOA Community"

Our native animals are facing challenges posed by rapid expansion and development of natural habitats, a changing climate, invasive species, and a lack of education about their needs. As our wildlife becomes confined to smaller spaces, there are more frequent interactions with humans and domestic animals. Coexisting with wildlife in ways that meet the needs of wild species as well as humans is becoming increasingly challenging, but there are ways that humans can adapt to the presence of wildlife, help sustain it, and ensure that natural ecosystems remain balanced and healthy. Mr. Bluntzer will share his wealth of knowledge and experience helping make this happen.

Mr. Bluntzer started his own wildlife consultant business 25 years, and has been our Sun City wildlife consultant for 18 years. He majored in field biology, wildlife emphasis at Tarleton State University. He served as a Texas State Game Warden from 1973-1998 (awarded Outstanding Wildlife Officer of the Year 1991).

Warren was elected to the Board of Directors of the Texas Wildlife Association from 2011- present. He was appointed by the governor to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. and many others to various task forces and commissions relating to wildlife. Warren has been a participant in numerous wildlife research studies and publications.
