Join us as we journey through more than 16,000 years of Texas history at the Bob Bullock History Museum. Learn about the men and women who established trade networks across America in Becoming Texas. Discover French explorer La Salle's 1684 failed attempt to create a colony in La Belle: The Ship that Changed History, and finally, follow the Spanish Mission Trail to The Alamo, where the fight for independence led Texas into its promising future.

Lunch will be on your own at the downtown diners, where choices range from legendary Texas barbecue and Gus's Famous Fried Chicken to Asian fusion and genuine Tex-Mex. Maps and menu ideas will be provided.

After lunch, we will explore the halls of our magnificent Texas State Capitol with a well-versed Capitol guide. Time permitting, you will be free to enjoy additional exhibits, the grounds or the visitor's center.
