Meeting at the Activities Center, Game Room 1/2

This week's topic is:Using the Photo Pills app  Discussion leader: Carlos Rio

Photo Pills is an App for your iPhone or Android that combines so many functions that were only available in individual tables or Apps in the past. This class is an introduction into Photo Pills.

This is a repeat of the classes I gave to small groups of 5-6 people in the past. If you attended the small groups and have forgotten some the uses of the App,  you are welcomed to attend.....and you can help the person right next to you who has never used it before. All are welcomed.

BUT, you MUST have the App installed on your phone before the meeting. It costs just under $10 from your App Store.

We will 1) Adjust the "settings" under the "My Stuff" module so we all have the App generally the same, but all the calculations referable to your specific camera and lenses. 2) Go to the "pills" module and choose the best option (I think) for the DOF and Hyperfocal Distance Calculators. 3) Go to the "Planner" module and learn how to determine the position of the sun, the moon, Milky Way, eclipses, and meteor showers specifically at your location AND at any location in earth at any specific time...for example: the rising and setting sun and moon over the Eiffel Tower on, say June 21, 2022 at 7 AM or PM.4) Learn to use the AR vision or "Augmented Reality" to see where the sun/moon/MW/eclipse/meteor-shower will be in relation to a tree or building or whatever is in front of your field of view, depending on what lens you are using....so you can compose your shot and select your equipment ahead of the event. 5)  etc, etc, .

Hope to see you there.
