Fredericksburg Theater Company presents Young Frankenstein, an electrifying and monstrously funny musical from the comedy genius of Mel Brooks. A spoof on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, prepare yourself for a lighting storm of hilarity as Doctor Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen"), grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of his leggy lab assistant, Inga, and his hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gor"), Frederick soon finds he has stepped into the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. Combine a stream of comedic highlights and slapstick one-liners with memorable tunes such as "The Transylvania Mania" and "Puttin' on the Ritz" and you get a blissfully funny Monster Mash........ It's Alive! Before the matinee performance, enjoy 2 hours for lunch on your own and shopping as you stroll through Fredericksburg's wonderful collection of shops and cafes on Main Street.
