On May 4, we celebrated “May Basket
Day,” an important day for all Nebraskans.
Over 70 Cornhuskers—from Omaha to
Scottsbluff—attended, brought delight-
ful baskets and shared their Nebraska
heritage.
Additionally, Alice Fisher was recognized
for her help in starting the Nebraska
Group and many other activities in Sun
City Texas—Nebraska Governor David
Heineman even recognized her with a let-
ter of commendation.
The next event will be a Cornhusker Tail-
gate Party in the fall.

We are a group of retired stewardesses,
better known today as flight attendants,
