It all started with a dream, a conversation between friends over coffee, and a dozen women willing to exchange their weekly lunch-out-with-the-girls for a brown bag and the chance to make a difference in their local community. It was a small beginning that led to great things. WOMEN HELPING OTHERS (WHO) has evolved to a force over 300 women strong, who collectively make a big impact on community-based organizations and improve life for many. WHO meets monthly — advancing the common good and strengthening quality of life through donations of our time, our service, and our financial assistance; while fostering inclusive camaraderie and fellowship. Member Interest Survey - Print Version

WHO volunteers and donates to nonprofit organizations throughout Williamson County. We have supported them by sponsoring fundraisers, volunteering, donating money, and spreading the word that these nonprofits need help. In 2023 alone, we contributed $160,000 to these community-based organizations through membership contributions and collaborations with Sun City neighborhoods and the Georgetown community. WHO works together with Meals on Wheels, a third-party fundraiser with Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties, which also receives a matching donation. There's so much to be done! September 23 Meeting Non profit Guest - Sleep in Heavenly Peace

WHO held a donation drive of NEW twin size bedding or NEW stand size pillow for SHP. The items were collected at the September 23 meeting.

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN.

Car & Golf Cart Show Benefiting Hounds for Heroes - October 19

Car & Golf Cart Show entries will report to the Lot at 2A Texas Drive beginning at 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. when the Car Show begins. ANY CAR is welcome; not just sporty or classics. Each person who enters the car show gets a great T-shirt as well. There will be 2 hounds doing a training for us as well.

The Holiday Bazaar in the Sun City Ballroom will begin at 9 a.m. with FREE COFFEE & BAGELS. The Bazaar will include Holiday crafts, paintings, a huge Bake Sale and more. There will be the WHO Red Apron Ladies to help you in the Ballroom. And….Sun City's Elvis, Jimmie Carter with a cast of characters to entertain you. Taco and Hot Dogs for sale

Georgetown Backpack Buddies Tour in August

WHO ladies toured the Backpack Buddies warehouse on August 21.

Georgetown Backpack Buddies helps ensure that Georgetown food insecure children do not go hungry over the weekend during the school year.

You all raised a total of $53,241 and with the St. David's Foundation match that is $103,241 which is a total of 12,905 meals for the seniors of Sun City and Georgetown, Texas! We could not do what we do without all of you, THANK YOU!

The Key2Free organization presented Women Helping Others (WHO) with the KEYper award at its 2024 Gala for Community Support. WHO President Terry Fierle accepted the award on behalf of the organization's members.
