Recycle and Beyond!
Before the presentation begins, please visit with our exhibitors who can assist with your recycling needs (see list below).
Teresa Chapman, the new Environmental Services Coordinator for Georgetown, will explain the goals of recycling and how the worldwide effort in recycling is evolving. She will also talk about Sun City’s use of the yellow bags and recycle carts in comparison to the rest of Georgetown.
Gary Hertel, an expert on what is recyclable and manager of the Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) Georgetown Transfer Station, will update us on the new proposed Transfer Station for Georgetown. A member of the Tidwell family will also join us to talk about their Williamson County Recycle Center and how you can obtain a Hazardous Waste Voucher online.

Door Prizes: Don't know if you should trash or recycle?
There will be door prizes. There will be extra door prize tickets for those who bring their own coffee cup OR who bring an item that they don't know whether to recycle or to put in the trash.
Coffee and donuts will be provided. Bring your own mug!
