Phase 3 Guidelines for Indoor Clubs and Reservable Amenities begin May 1

Beginning Saturday, May 1, all clubs, neighborhoods and residents may reserve and use CA facilities if they agree to abide by the Phase 3 guidelines click here to view Phase 3 Guidelines and Capacities>>. Phase 3 guidelines allow all performances, bands, table games, meetings and lectures to resume activity. All groups/clubs/residents with approved transition plans may allow as many members as the room capacity guidelines allow and must abide by this transitional guideline in CA facilities. All groups/clubs/residents without transitional plans will also follow these guidelines and adhere to room capacity limits when using CA facilities.

All chartered clubs will have additional communication from their leadership about individual club procedures. Please refer to club microsites for procedures.

On May 1, The Retreat, Social Center, Activities Center and Cowan Creek will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. If the rooms are not reserved, the building may close earlier.

Residents may now make room reservations with Cindy Marsac for May 1 and later by clicking here>> (resident login required).
2021 Common Area Storm Clean up
The entire landscape throughout the community suffered extensive damage after this year’s Winter storm event. Our contractor, BrightView, is working diligently to remove all damaged and dead plant material from the Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance areas. Please do not engage them with your personal requests, it is against CA rules to do so. Please direct your inquiries to Carlton Mathis at [email protected]
We have two teams working the Level 2 and Level 3 native common areas. A two-man team is responding to all phone and email reports that have been recorded and are being handled in the order they were received. Their focus has been to remove broken and low hanging limbs from common area trees affecting fences, yards and rooflines. The second team is moving through the Level 3 native areas, following our bi-annual maintenance path and addressing fallen branches and trees with their chipper. Our objective is to have the Level 3 clean up completed ahead of the June start date for the mowing. Please do not haul and dump debris from your yard into the native areas, this is against CA rules. Observed violations will be referred to the Community Standards Department.

We will be able to look at addressing the Level 4 natural areas hopefully by the end of this year, but it may take longer as we will still have our ongoing maintenance along the creeks and trails.

Summer Nights

Growing up, summer nights seemed to last forever. For our June issue, Sun Rays wants to know: how did you spend your summer nights growing up? Were you chasing fireflies in the dark or surveying the city from the top of a Ferris wheel? Were you out hunting for a date or just searching for someplace with air conditioning? Send your summer night story to Jaime Calder at [email protected] by Monday, April 12 for consideration. We kindly ask that submissions be limited to 275 words or less. Photographs are strongly encouraged! If you need help in arranging a photograph or handling old pictures, please contact Jaime Calder at 512-948-7745.
