Sun City Texas Recycles presents
The Five R’s Town HallWednesday, Nov. 8 • 9 a.m.
Ballroom • Bring your own coffee mug! The NRO’s Sun City Texas Recycles subcommittee will present a town hall on Nov. 8 from 9-11 a.m. in the ballroom. Members will introduce The Five R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot. The aim of the town hall is to excite residents about becoming a zero waste community.
Guest speakers include: - Sara Nichols, State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR)
- Jordan Fengel, Solid Waste Manager, Georgetown
- Gary Hertel, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS)
Martin Byhower and Debbie Bruner will perform “Movin’ In and Movin’ Out,” which will present valuable information in a humorous fashion. We will also tell you about the blue recycling carts located in the ballroom and the Legacy Hills Pavilion.

Sun City Recycles’ mission is to provide education and resources in Sun City Texas to assist residents in effectively recycling, reducing waste, and proper disposal of household hazardous waste. The goal is to help residents achieve responsible stewardship of the community’s environment.
Coffee and donuts will be provided. Door prizes will be available, with an extra door prize ticket for those who bring their clean, empty egg cartons.
