Journey with us and explore the heritage of Lee County and the tiny hamlet of Serbin just south of Giddings. Enjoy a guided tour of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, one of Texas's painted churches, followed by a tour of the Wendish Historical Museum. Peruse the stories, customs, costumes and artifacts that make up the history of the Wends from eastern Germany. Finish your visit with a hot Wendish lunch of sausage, sauerkraut, noodles, beets, dill pickles, fresh bread, tea or coffee, and a fruit dessert. After lunch, we'll take a short driving tour through Lee County history. Stops include a photo op at the Lee County Courthouse, the Schubert-Fletcher House, and the 1876 First Presbyterian Church.
