Considered one of the finest zoos in America, the San Antonio Zoo houses more than 3,500 animals representing more than 700 species, and one of the largest bird collections in the U.S. Explore The Savanna where big cats roam and journey through the Africa Live! exhibit for underwater views of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Stand eye-to-eye with a giraffe as you feed him fresh lettuce leaves and experience the amusing antics of the lorikeets, small playful parrots that will sit on your shoulder for a nectar treat. Journey through rain forests where primates play, cross lagoons full of flamingos and spend time in the colorful world of butterflies. Grab your camera and come along - exciting adventures await at the San Antonio Zoo! Lunch will be on your own with a fun choice of cafés and snack bars located throughout the park.
