Join us for a self-guided tour of The National Mounted Warrior Museum at Fort Cavazos (formerly known as Fort Hood). Explore the heroism and challenges of the mounted warrior through an immersive exhibit gallery full of interactive encounters. Tanks, aircraft and modern-day fighting vehicles are set in dynamic scenes portraying real-life action and tell the story of our brave warriors from horse-mounted warfare to the global war on terror. We will also have a chance to see the 1st Calvary Horse Division perform their 1883 manual of calvary tactics on the stable grounds. Note: You may encounter special effects that include motion activated lights and loud sounds in the museum. The Calvary show includes gunfire and the stable grounds will be dusty.
