Take two sweethearts on the night before their wedding, add an intoxicated wedding planner and a not-very-bright host, mix in two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and a desperate theater producer and you have the makings for an afternoon of madcap delight. The Drowsy Chaperone, a fictitious 1928 musical, is a heart-felt parody, saturated with singing, dancing, a chirpy jazz-age score and some very odd characters. A musical within a comedy…what fun! Before the show, enjoy lunch on your own at Rudy's Bar-B-Q in Killeen. Snacks and drinks will be available at the theater. Ticket includes transportation and 2:30 p.m. matinee.
