Bio

Hey there, everyone!
I'm Kim Gensler, your Georgetown-based Board-Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach!

I was born in San Antonio and grew up in a military family (both my father and grandfather proudly served as retired Air Force Lt. Colonels). At 12, we moved to Colorado, where I went to high school and later earned my degree in Anthropology from Colorado State University.

Life threw me a curveball in high school when a car accident left me with a broken back. While the treatment saved my life, it wreaked havoc on my gut health, leading to symptoms like IBS, psoriasis, and weight stagnation. After college, I stumbled upon holistic health, changed my lifestyle, and cleaned up my diet. The results were life-changing—my symptoms disappeared, and I felt like a new person!

Feeling inspired, I chased another lifelong dream - becoming a safari guide. In 2009, I sold everything I owned, packed two bags, and moved to South Africa. For 14 incredible years, I guided safaris, managed lodges, and even worked as a professional photographer.

But after Covid, I felt the pull to a new purpose—my passion for holistic health. I went back to school, earning my Functional Medicine Health Coaching certification from the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine in the U.S., followed by board certification in health and wellness coaching. Today, I'm proud to run my own coaching business, using my life experiences to empower others to live vibrant, fulfilling lives.
