Patriot Day Ceremony Wednesday, September 11, 11 a.m., SCB A Patriot Day Ceremony will be held in the Social Center Ballroom at 2 Texas Dr., Bldg. A on Wednesday, September 11, at 11 a.m. to commemorate the 2,977 lives lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, the four commercial airline flights, and those who not only risked their lives but gave the ultimate sacrifice for their community during rescue and recovery operations. This inaugural ceremony will include guest speakers and patriotic music. It will be a solemn reminder of the unity and resilience of our nation that was brought together by this heinous attack on its people and will provide a time for our community to remember and reflect on the enduring strength of the American spirit. A continuous looping video of that tragic day will be shown in the Social Center Ballroom starting at 10 a.m., prior to the ceremony. |
