HILL COUNTRY LAVENDER FARM & BLANCO LAVENDER FESTIVAL

Friday, June 7, 10AM-2PM

Experience the best of Texas Hill Country's Lavender with a visit to a Lavender farm and the Blanco Lavender festival. Since the first planting 25 years ago, Lavender has become an important regional crop and Blanco was become known as "The Lavender Capitol of Texas" The farm and festival will show the many uses of the Lavender plant.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Lavender Farm: 8241 FARM TO MARKET 165, BLANCO, TX 78606-From the Blanco town square: take 163 (4th Street) East, 0.5 (half) a mile, turn left onto FM 165 and travel 7.6 miles East. The farm is located on the right side of the road.

The festival will take place around the historic Blanco County courthouse.

COST: Both the farm and festival are free! (The farm does have a $5 parking fee).

CAR POOLING: Please let Tony know if you need a ride, can offer a ride, or will just meet us at the farm at 10: AM.

Parking: At the farm is $5- For the festival, parking at Blanco High School is recommended then take a shuttle to the festival.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Photo Challenge: This is a great opportunity to capture the beauty of the Lavender plant along with insects, birds, and other creatures.

Bonus: The Lavender farm allows visitors to cut and take home Lavenders so bring your garden shears!
