Luke Chisholm is an up-and-coming golfer whose father has pushed him to succeed on the green his entire life. After a disastrous debut on the pro circuit that seemingly ruins his promising career, Luke finds himself unexpectedly stranded in tiny Utopia, Texas. He is welcomed by Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall) an eccentric rancher who continues to surprise Luke at every turn, as he helps the young golfer bury his past and uncover the key to his future.
