One of the most notable war epics ever made recounting the Normandy Invasion on D-Day with an international, star-studded cast! Despite bad weather on June 6, 1944, General Eisenhower gives the go-ahead and the Allies land on several beachheads at Normandy. General Norman Cota (Robert Mitchum) and his men arrive on Omaha Beach and, with much effort and lives lost, they are able to travel deep into French territory. Despite knowing the attack is coming, a delay caused by Hitler's miscalculation leaves the German military with not enough forces to repel the Allies. |
