Join us for two extraordinary experiences in San Marcos! First, The Meadows Center, one of the world's largest aquifer-fed water systems, formerly known as Aquarena Springs. We will tour through the Discovery Center, along the Wetland Boardwalk and take a glass-bottom boat ride to learn about the endangered species that call this lake home and the programs for ensuring sustainable water and ecosystem health in Central Texas. Next, it's lunch on your own at the Springtown Center, which features a fun selection of restaurant choices from burgers to sushi. Our final stop will be the Commemorative Air Force Museum. A navigator training school during WWII, this museum now houses a fantastic collection of historic aviation memorabilia. Exhibits include 14 landmark aircraft, including a P-39 Aircobra pursuit plane. Note: This is a Level 3 walking tour. This outing will be very physically challenging.
