Memorial Day Observance

Monday, May 30 • 9:30 a.m.

The annual Memorial Day ceremony, honoring the men and women of our armed forces who have given their lives in service to our country, will be held at the Veterans Memorial Plaza on Monday, May 30. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. The program begins with a presentation of the colors. The ceremony includes singing of the national anthem, presentation of wreaths at both Memorial Walls, and the sounding of taps.

Guest Speaker: General Robert B. Neller, USMC (Ret)
Music: The 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard
Flyover: Falcon Flight Team

Seating: 
700 folding chair(s) to sit under the trees. The Community Association will serve refreshments on the Social Center patio after the ceremony on May 30.

Flags are flown at half-staff until noon.

If you would like to honor a veteran by adding an engraved brick to the Georgetown-Williamson County Veterans Memorial Plaza, bricks can be ordered through the CA Member Services Office or Click Here to order one online. Contributions support the care and maintenance of the Plaza. Deadline for July installation is June. 14.
