One of the most romantic comedies of the century, Same Time Next Year is the story of two people who meet by chance in 1951 at a California inn. George, a married accountant from New Jersey, and Doris, a housewife from Oakland, embark on an affair that brings them together on the same weekend in the same place for the next 25 years. As time passes, events in their personal lives impact their once-a-year romance as their personalities reflect society's changing morals and manners. Though never quite in sync, their changes make for some heartfelt drama and a hilarious comedy.
