Remote Ride from Salado

DESCRIPTION: Hilly to rolling with some fast downhills...beautiful scenery

DEPARTS: Wednesday April 28, 2021 @ 8:30 a.m.

FROM: Salado; parking at The Shed (rear) 220 Royal St, Salado, TX 76751. Additional parking at nearby Barrow Brewing.

ROUTES: Three routes – 34 (click), 48 (click) and 61 miles (click).

34 & 48 mile routes: Leave Salado heading east to Holland. A few hills at the start and some fast down hills after Holland. Store stop (s) with limited supplies. Routes reverse direction to alleviate any long, sustained headwinds. Leanne will lead 34 miler at pace 11-13mph.

61 mile route splits off at Mile 4 and heads north picking up some extra miles plus good elevation challenges. Route works thru Holland on way to Bartlett Donut Shop for a rest stop, then traverses rolling flatlands skirting Schwertner to Salado.
