Explore the legends and lore of Andean alpacas as we tour the barns and wool rooms of Peeka Alpaca Ranch. Tucked into the rolling hills of Burton, this ranch is home to more than 60 alpacas, each named for their unique bloodlines and individual personalities. Petting and feeding are allowed, and springtime means "little ones," so don't forget your camera! We'll also visit the Ranch store for yarns, clothing and gifts. Lunch on your own will be at courthouse square in Brenham. Maps and menus will be provided that will guide you to an array of eateries, specialty shops and historical venues. After lunch, we'll be off to the Antique Rose Emporium, a combination rose nursery, with themed gardens and gift shop. Explore a garden of "living antiques," browse for home décor or purchase the perfect plants to highlight your flowerbeds. Compartments will be available under the bus for purchases.
