Now Americas Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Fear and Freedom from Want come alive in the artist's 1943 paintings. These freedoms, outlined by FDR and painted by Rockwell, provided aid and support during WWII. After their successful publication, the paintings began a sixteen-city tour to raise funds through the sale of war bonds and to provide moral support. In addition to Rockwell's paintings, the exhibit showcases illustrations, prints, historical documents and photographs from the 1940s, along with pieces from his contemporaries. Once we enter the museum, you will be on your own to view the exhibit and have lunch in the Museum Café on the lower level. Note: No backpacks or large purses allowed.
