SOLD OUT UT Symphony Orchestra – Bates Hall – Austin Dinner on your own Sunday, November 10, $32 pp Depart SCPL 2:15 p.m.; return 8:45 p.m. Level 2, walking and steps Tickets for this event go on sale Tuesday, September 3 @ 8 a.m. The UT Symphony, which is composed of the finest string, wind and percussion students enrolled in the Butler School of Music, is recognized as one of the top college symphonies in the country. Performing in the 700-seat Bates Hall with perfect acoustics, these graduate and undergraduate musicians are true professionals. Standard works as well as emerging works make up their repertoire. At this writing, one of the pieces will be Garayev's "In the Path of Thunder." We will also be introduced to the Symphony's new director, Farkhad Khudyen, in his debut performance. Note: There are steps into the building and a long walk to the stairs and elevators. After the 4:00 p.m. show, we will stop at the Domain for dinner on your own. Choose from Grand Lux Café, North Italia, True Food Kitchen and others for your dinner meal. Maps and suggestions will be provided. Ticket includes transportation and symphony ticket.
