As the forces of General Santa Anna laid siege to the Alamo, 59 courageous men gathered in a rough-hewn building on the banks of the Brazos River to write a new constitution and declare Texas' independence from Mexico.

Walk in the steps of men like Sam Houston, Davy Crockett and Stephen F. Austin as we explore the stories behind Where Texas Became Texas at the Washington-On-The-Brazos State Historic Site. Enjoy interactive exhibits in the Gallery of the Republic, take in a tale of quill pens and Bowie knives at Independence Hall, travel a timeline through history at the Star of the Republic Museum, and finish with 2 scoops at the best little creamery in Texas – Blue Bell.

With your ticket purchase, please choose a box lunch: ham, turkey, or veggie sandwich with chips, pickle, cookie and bottled water.

Ticket includes transportation, entrance fees, box lunch and ice cream. Maximum tickets: 40
