Monet - Just the mention of this artist's name brings to mind gorgeous pastel paintings. This exhibit of 52 paintings showcases Monet's final works and consists of bold paintings and landscapes, along with 20 of his famous water-lily paintings. Many of these works will be unfamiliar such as the artist's panorama and easel paintings showing his variety and innovation. The works dating from 1913 until Monet's death in 1926 were assembled from around the world, with many never seen in this country. Along with the exhibit, the Kimbell Museum showcases some of the finest art works in the country. You will also have time to visit the Amon Carter Museum and Modern Art Museum located next to the Kimbell. On the way to and from the museum, we will make rest stops at Slovacek's in West, Texas.
