Indulge your passion for 19th-century architecture and finely decorated homes; treasure hunt for antiques, art, and specialty gift items; and sample award-winning tearooms, pubs, and cafes on the 51st annual Gingerbread Trail and Tour. Our day of exploration and adventure begins at the Ellis County Museum where trolleys will take us on a tour of five turn-of-the-century homes. Each home celebrates a distinct architectural style and is staffed with docents well versed in history, restoration and local ghost lore. Following the homes tour, you will have time to shop the square, visit the 1895 Ellis County Courthouse, one of the most photographed structures in Texas, and enjoy a bit of lunch on your own.
