From the outside these churches look like many of the 19th century places of worship, but the insides are embellished with thousands of stars outlined in gold leaf, angels against soft pink hues, altars exquisitely carved and gorgeous statues. Our step-on docent will enchant you with their history and building. After touring two of the churches, enjoy lunch at Oakridge Smokehouse in Schulenburg specializing in old-fashioned country cooking. Buffet includes several entrees, salad, veggies, dessert and iced tea or coffee. Following lunch we travel to the final two churches. On the way going we will stop at Buc-ee’s.
