Enjoy a holiday treat during this most wonderful time of the year! Visit the charming German town of Fredericksburg, a picture perfect postcard complete with a 26' German Christmas Pyramid and a 30' Christmas tree. Amid sparkling light displays dotting the silhouette, this historic downtown features over 150 shops from art galleries to boutiques. Find creations by local artists: women's fashions, vintage to contemporary; antiques, books, gourmet food and award winning local wineries. Oh, and what about sausage, schnitzel, sugar cookies and strudels? Fredericksburg is filled with a variety of restaurants for you to enjoy dinner on your own, or simply sample German delights along the way. You may choose to take in the evening’s annual Light the Night Christmas Parade, a traditional walk down memory lane, filled with floats, music, lights and fun, travels down Main Street to the Markt Platz and back. Bring your camera to smile and say ‘Käse’! As we say auf Wiedersehen to Fredericksburg we will head down the road to Johnson City, a quaint town filled with more dazzling holiday lights. Weather permitting, we will take a short stroll under an entire block of magnificent old oak trees strung with over 1 million white lights covering the entire canopy.
