While best known as The Bar-B-Que Capital of Texas, Lockhart is also steeped in legendary Texas history.  From Comanche raids and cattle drives, to movie sets and bistros, we will explore tales, visit sites and sample culinary offerings on our journey from the past to the present in this unique town.

Provided with walking maps and a bit of history, we will divide into three small groups for docent-led tours of The Caldwell County Jailhouse Museum, The Southwest Clock and Watch Museum, and The Dr. Eugene Clark Library.

After lunch on your own, browsing the shops, and courthouse photos, we will attend a USO Tribute Show at the historic Gaslight Baker Theater.  A salute to Veterans Day, this variety show features music, dance, comedy and magic similar to the traveling shows seen by those serving in the U.S. military.

NOTE:  When you purchase your ticket, please indicate if you are a veteran.
