Arabians Ltd., the largest breeding farm of its kind in North America, breeds Egyptian Arabians, the rarest of Arabian horses. Whether you would like to learn about these valuable horses or want to own one, the amazing story of these animals is worth the visit.  Hear about Three Desperado, the national champion for ten years, and see some of the 150 gorgeous creatures on the farm.

Our first stop will be at Bucee’s in Temple before touring the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco. Founded in 1823 by Stephen F. Austin to protect the pioneer families after the Mexican War, the Rangers also fought the Indians, served as scouts to the military, helped form the Republic of Texas and had a hand in the battle of the Alamo.  With a current force of 162, they still play a role in protecting our state today.

Following the museum, we will have lunch on our own at Rudy’s where you can choose from sandwiches to meat plates or lighter fare.  Then it is on to Arabians Ltd. where we will hear their story, tour the stables and view the horses.

NOTE:  You must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairs for this trip.

Ticket cost includes transportation and attractions.  Maximum tickets: 40
