Jacqueline Onassis commissioned Leonard Bernstein to compose something special. Mass was the result and was written as a bold combination of classical and contemporary music and theatre to celebrate joy and hope. In honor of Bernstein’s 100 birthday, Austin is bringing this monumental piece to the Long Center. Three hundred artists representing a mix of voices, orchestra and dancers will perform. Featuring the 48 member African Children’s Choir, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Opera, UT Marching Band, Ballet Austin and many more, this two hour production is a once in a lifetime event. Before the event we will stop for dinner on your own at Domain North. You are free to choose from restaurants such as Paul Martin’s Grill, Taverna, Yard House, Second Bar & Kitchen and Frost Gelato.
