Dallas Blooms is the Southwest’s largest floral festival with over 500,000 blooms and layers of landscape at every turn. A picture is worth a thousand words and how true that is when describing the beauty of the Arboretum in springtime. Get your cameras ready. You will be on your own to tour at your leisure the DeGolyer House, a 21,000 square foot home built in 1940, and the gardens. From cherry blossom trees, daffodils, pansies, tulips and thousands of other annuals, each turn brings something new. Our 1:30 lunch will be on the patio of the DeGolyer House overlooking White Rock Lake and the Woman’s Garden. Salad trio includes fresh fruit with poppy seed dressing, chicken salad with dried cherries and pecans and spinach salad with bacon, tomato, egg and champagne dressing. Iced tea or coffee is included. Dessert is lemon cream shortcake. No other meal options available. NOTES: Walking will be on gravel and uneven surfaces with numerous steps so please know your capabilities. Ticket cost includes transportation, self-guided tours and lunch.
