Tonight we are fortunate to hear prestigious pianists Patti Wolf, Colette Valentine and Alex Torra in a Four Hands Concert at UT Bates Hall. In 1985 at age 19, Patti Wolf was chosen to compete in the Van Cliburn Piano Competition. Since then, she has performed around the world as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician with numerous accomplishments. She and collaborator Alex Torra, composer, pianist and conductor, will play Variations on a Theme by Paganini. Then Patti will be accompanied in various pieces by Colette Valentine, one of the most active collaborative pianists in the country noted for her clean and sparkling technique. NOTE: There are steps to enter the theatre and a long walk to the elevator and stairs. Before the concert we will stop at Domain North for dinner on your own. Choices include Paul Martin Grill, Second Bar and Kitchen, Toulouse Café and Yard House plus the gelato shop. Ticket cost includes transportation and concert. Volunteer Trip Leader: Ellen Mire |
