February 2016 Astronomy SIG Program
Astronomy SIG meeting Monday, February 22, at 7 p.m. in the Cowan Creek Florence Room (CCF) First,
a brief look at current astronomy items of interest and then an
overview of the upcoming Spring Star Party by Steve Barrett.
For
the program, Nature Club member John Price will give a presentation on
his recent visit to the Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope near
Socorro NM along with a DVD documentary on the VLA narrated by Jodie
Foster, “Beyond the Visible: The Story of the Very Large Array.”
