Following dinner we will go to Bates Recital Hall to enjoy the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra with Maestro Gerhardt Zimmerman, Artistic Director since 2006.  One of the top college orchestras in the nation, the UTSO is a full-sized modern symphony orchestra with 60 to 90 performers, the exact number depending upon the needs of the repertoire.  This evening’s repertoire includes Rainbow Body by Christopher Theofanidis, Pines of Rome and Fountains of Rome by Ottorino Respighi, a piece featuring the winner of the UTSO Concerto Competition.
