SOLD OUT - Dallas Blooms – Arboretum – Dallas Lunch – DeGoyler Restaurant Monday, March 23, $70 pp Depart SCPL Parking Lot 7:45 a.m.; Return 6:30 p.m. View one of the most spectacular floral displays in the country featuring over 500,000 blooms. An amazing tribute to spring, the Aboretum greets us with a collection of tulips, daffodils, pansies, azaleas, thousands of other flowers, and cherry blossom trees.
We begin with lunch at the 21,000 square foot DeGoyler home built in 1940. The back of the home overlooks White Rock Lake and the tiered fountains of the Woman’s Garden, a popular wedding venue. Our luncheon features a salad trio – fresh fruit, chicken, and spinach salads with coffee or iced tea. Dessert is Kentucky Chocolate Cake. No menu changes.
After lunch you will have two hours to stroll the grounds and tour the DeGoyler home. You will be walking over uneven and gravel paths so wear appropriate shoes. This trip will go rain or shine. We will make rest stops going and returning at Slovacek’s Bakery and Deli in West.
Ticket cost includes transportation, entrance fee and lunch.
