Welcome to the German Special Interest Group

The following courses will be offered in the Fall 2024 sessions:

 Intermediate German 300

Fridays, 9am -10:30am. September 6th - November 2nd.

Description:  Enrollees should have at least the equivalent  of two years' study of the German language.  Emphasis is on words used in everyday conversation and participants will practice using Schaum's German Grammar textbook, including the subjunctive mood, during written and oral exercises that promote reading listening and conversation in class.
Textbook: Schaum's German Grammar.
Class size limit is 10.

German 200 - 300

Fridays, noon - 1:30pm, Sept 6th - Oct 25th.

Description: For those with at least one year of high school, college, or life experience in the German language.   Emphasis will be on increasing vocabulary, translating written materials that may be accompanied by an audio file, and more conversation in German within the classroom.

Textbook: Complete German All-in-One.

Class size limit is 10.
